Taking Thor to the park

 

Daddy took McKinley and Kylee to the park with Thor. Thor loved it, and so did the girls until they got hurt. Even Daddy got hurt, it was pretty pathetic watching them hobble in!

 Kylee and McKinley took turns holding the leash. Kylee spent a lot of time on the ground. Thor kept clothes-lining her.

 She would get up each time with a smile on her face!

 I am glad Parker doesn't mind going to the park in the snow. The girls and Thor got some much need exercise and I got a break!

Saying good bye

 Three families moved out of the ward just before Christmas. We were sad to see them go, so we had a going away party. One last good time with our friends before they left.

 All the kids decorating their gingerbread Christmas trees. I got this idea from pinterest...of course. I didn't have to make houses ahead of time, so a win in my book. The girls had fun using their creativity, and stacking as much candy on their trees as they could.

 Thanks to the snow and church activities being canceled, we had more time than planned so we played games. This cute jingle bell game...and of course dancing.

What a fun party. I am glad we could get the girls together one last time, but now I am sad that my friends are gone!

Christmas craft

 We tried to make the most of December and keep busy with fun crafts. I am still tired from finding ideas and getting stuff ready!

These foam trees were really easy. They came with stickers to decorate the tree. So pretty and fun with no mess for mommy to clean up while wondering "what I was thinking."

 I can't remember what she was laughing at, but it was really funny to her. Avery enjoyed watching her older sisters. She also watched the pretty stickers and tried to grab any that came close to her.

Christmas Eve

 We spent Cristmas eve with our friends, the Trenkles.  Parker made amazing ribs, and I bought lots of yummy snacks and drinks...okay I made some instant potatoes too. Gotta give myself some credit baby.

 After we ate and played some games, the kids got dressed for the nativity. It was so fun watching them get ready and use their imaginations for props. Kylee was Mary, Boy #1 and #2 were the shepherds and wise men. I guess we didn't have a Joseph...oh well.

After the Nativity, while the kids were cleaning up, we heard Santa's sleigh bells. We had been tracking his flight online, but the kids got pretty excited. Everyone cleaned up a little faster so they could get to bed.

  

We always open a gift Christmas Eve. I give the girls matching pajamas to wear that night. This year I was told how dumb that was. Both girls expressed that they didn't want any clothes. It was actually cute coming from a 6 and 4 year old. So, Daddy was in charge of Christmas Eve gifts and he did an excellent job. Very cool flashlights to use that night.

 The girls spread out the stockings then headed to Avery's room where they watched a movie and had a sleepover.

Mr and Mrs Claus were way too tired to wait for the girls to fall asleep, so we turned the tv up and got to work. McKinley was still awake when we finished, but had no clue what we had accomplished.

Best Friends at the Park

These girls are best friends. We are so lucky to have found such good friends so quickly in Sterling.

Halloween!

Our ward had a party with pizza, games, and of course a trunk or treat. It was a lot of fun.

McKinley was super girl. She is showing off some plastic fangs she won playing one of the games. 

Kylee was dora, but the princess one. She change her mind about her costume a million times. I didn't know what she was going to be even that morning. She also won some cute teeth from a game.

Somehow we didn't get a picture together, oh well. 

Avery was a little cat...I didn't dare put whiskers on her face. I guess she just seems too fragile to me still.
